Working With Me

Whether journeying to a happily-ever-after, saving the world from the next zombie apocalypse, or figuring out whodunit, I can help polish your manuscript by improving character and plot development, smoothing the flow, tightening sentences, resolving inconsistencies, developing transitions, strengthening conflict, and much more. I always maintain the writer’s style and voice. It’s your story to tell; It’s my job to go along for the ride.

For line editing, I offer sample editing (up to 1,000 words). My services are by contract, and prior to starting a project, we will set a time to verbally (by phone or zoom) discuss the manuscript, our expectations of each other, and my method of working. I am professional, prompt, and responsive. All emails are answered within 24 hours.

Bio

I fell in love with books at a young age, and my love affair with the written word continues today. I have worked diligently to transform what was a hobby into my career. I have a bachelor’s in criminology and a master of business administration, and the knowledge and skills gained from my studies and former occupations have proven to be beneficial to my literary career. I’m a literary agent, developmental editor, and writing coach. I edit fiction in multiple genres; for nonfiction, I concentrate on memoirs, autobiographies, true crime, and self-help. I am the founder of Gold Dust Literary Agency, Gold Dust Editing & Book Reviews, and FiBs, a storytelling platform. I review books for Publishers Weekly and freelance for Hallmark Publishing and HarperCollins. I’m a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association.
