Upon utilizing this site to find and hire an editor, I agree to the following: That this is a directory that has been set up as an act of courtesy by Black Editors & Proofreaders, a division of Black Writers Collective, to give writers a resource to find qualified editorial assistance from Black editors.

By submitting or responding to an inquiry via BlackEditorsProofreaders.com, I understand that I assume full responsibility. I agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless BlackEditorsProofreaders.com, its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, suppliers and any third party information providers to the service from and against all losses, expenses, damages and costs, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, resulting from any violation of any agreement (including negligent or wrongful conduct) by any editor listed therein or any person accessing the service.

In no event will BlackEditorsProofreaders.com be liable for any incidental, consequential, or indirect damages (including, but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, business interruption, loss of programs or information, and the like) arising out of the use of or inability to use the service, or any information, or transactions provided by this service.

By entering into this business agreement, I understand that this relationship is only between the individual submitting an RFP and the individual I hire. I assume total responsibility and risk for my use of this directory. It is solely my responsibility to evaluate the accuracy, completeness and usefulness of all opinions, advice, services and other information provided through this service.

I understand use of this service does not guarantee any editor’s availability or suitability for my project.

Note: Although it is strictly against BlackEditorsProofreaders.com policies, individuals listed in this directory may choose to outsource work to other individuals who are unknown to the administrators of this directory. BlackEditorsProofreaders.com does not endorse, recommend, or condone such and will remove said individual from the directory upon receipt of information supporting this violation of our terms.
